JULIANNA WILCOX
DVM
Medical Director

Dr. Wilcox, a California girl at heart, spent most of her upbringing on the east coast and has traversed various corners of the United States. Growing up surrounded by horses, cats, dogs, hamsters, and ferrets, her passion for animal rescue has remained steadfast. Presently, her household is a sanctuary for rescues, including her beloved cats, Vienna and Houston, and her canine companions, Calliope and Mini Pearl, who are regulars at the clinic, always by her side.

Transitioning from a career in emergency medical services as an EMT and firefighter in New Mexico, Dr. Wilcox pursued her passion for animal welfare by attending veterinary school at Colorado State University. Specializing in small animal preventative medicine and pain management, she found her niche in geriatric care, cherishing the silver faces of aging pets. Dr. Wilcox's expertise extends to alternative modalities such as veterinary acupuncture and animal rehab, emphasizing a Fear Free approach to veterinary care to alleviate stress for pets and their owners alike.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Wilcox embraces a simple lifestyle, finding solace in yoga, literature, and indulging in Netflix binges. She cherishes moments spent with her family and furkids, particularly relishing outdoor adventures at the beach, soaking up the warmth of the California sun.
